I decided to commit to fitness 9 months back when I was in a weird place in my life. Ever since joining the Gym, my serotonin levels were up and I had been leading a wonderful life thanks to my dear wife who had been really supportive. Getting injured mid-way through this journey and being asked to rest for at least a year by my doctor, took a great toll on my life. I was not just disappointed, but depressed and demotivated, which pulled me back into the weird place I worked hard to walk away from. When I decided to search for a rehab trainer, I was a bit skeptical, to be honest, after my Physio told me there is no use and instead take time, recover and never do intensive training again.
Fast forward 12 weeks, I have never felt stronger before, went for bouldering last week for the first time (I did surprisingly well for a beginner), achieved few personal bests at the gym, sleep quite well, don’t get sick often like before, am able to focus on work without stressing and above all, my wife and I are very happy. To put it in simple words, all the negativities in my life just drained by itself. I feel the difference even in the smallest of activities like getting up from a chair and my posture has never been better.
In fact I am glad my shoulder gave away. I am grateful for what I went through and all the hurdles I've had in my journey. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have found Marat to train me, wouldn’t have found the right form and pace to do my training safely and above all, it taught me the most valuable lesson that anything can go south any day, but we can still fight, believe, work hard and bounce back in life to an even better place.
I sincerely appreciate all your time. You changed my life.
