I started training with Marat as a super skinny kid out of high school with next to no experience in the basics of nutrition or the gym. Over eight years of training with him, I gained weight, strength and knowledge such that now, years later, I still use the exercises and techniques he taught me. Thanks to Marat, the gym has become a regular, routine part of my life.
Some of my accomplishments over the years under Marat’s coaching have been:
- Going from 64kg to 87kg body weight, naturally!
- From struggling to bench the 20kg barbell to benching 120kg for several reps!
- Squatting over 140kg for reps!
- Deadlifting over 140kg!
- Performing sets of chin-ups and dips with extra resistance!
- And many other accomplishments.
My greatest testament to Marat is that even though I continue to push myself in the gym, I have never had a single injury. I attribute this to Marat’s excellent knowledge and the way he imparted that knowledge to me.
